Agah Uğur Collection / group show curated by Halil Altındere between 9 September and 31 October 2022 in Istanbul/TR.

“The Agah Uğur Collection features conceptual artworks by artists of different generations from Turkey and the world, with themes focusing on multi-faceted social problems. The collection showcases the most original examples of contemporary art produced in Turkey since the 70s, as well as video works handling crucial issues of recent world history. Besides video, this unique collection includes sculpture, installation, photography, illustration, neon, performance, NFT, and even ideas, and sheds light on the recent history of developing countries with social responsibility and sensibility.

Halil Altındere’s first exhibition as a curator after 12 years, ‘Your Body is a Battleground’, aims to make visible such burning issues as personal struggles, freedoms, gender politics, migration, borders, and collective memory.”
